Homer Jay Simpson

I believe Homer Simpson is one of the saddest characters in all of the Simpsons. He grew up with an alcoholic father and a mostly absent mother until her eventual leaving of Abe Simpson, Homers' father, leading to the lie that gets out of hand when Abe lies to young Homer about her leaving and saying she has died. later in life, Homer felt so guilty because he believed he caused her disappearance. In the show many times it has been proven that he has Mild to Severe depression, especially when we see him popping anti-depressants in S23:E18 it was a bit but still. In S32:E17 Homer says "were so close I can see the labels on their medication, mild depression rules" Case closed
